JVG Update | 02:18 PM | 21 TB
Erstwhile theater producer Jonathan Van Gieson has much news for share with general public (you). His production company, 4 Panel Productions, has launched a website. More crucially, a public reading will be held for his new play, Master Criminals, next Monday, July 15 on West 26th Street. Do go. It is very funny.

My Summer | 07:56 PM | 2 TB
People are always asking me, "Lock, what's it like to be spending the summer in the Hamptons?" Usually I launch into a long description of my share house and the share house "lifestyle." In the future, I'll refer them to Hamptonz.org instead. (Do not fail to meet your housemates.)

'Under God' Iconoclast Update | 10:31 AM | 17 TB
Turns out the guy who successfully challenged the Pledge of Allegiance is a Brown grad. Not to fear: as the Times reported yesterday, he has many interesting ideas for changing society:
There is so much about society that Mike Newdow would like to change.

He does not understand, for example, why the English language allows itself anything so cumbersome and awkward as masculine and feminine pronouns. The Mike Newdow dictionary would replace "he" and "she" with "re," "his" and "hers" with "rees" and "him" and "her" with "erm."

"Come on, try it out," he says. "'Re went to the store.' It's easy."
