Oh great, NOW you tell us -- I wish I had known that your LES awards were naught but the ramblings of a fresh-faced twenty-something before I committed them to memory. I'm telling your publisher, and Ric Ocasek (note spelling, you callow youth.)
Posted by: Eliot at January 6, 2004 05:59 PMgreat info on les, thanks
Posted by: Brock Shepherd at January 7, 2004 11:55 PMthe awards would have been much better without input from "joey". kate's? wtj's? high schoolers really shouldn't be allowed to comment on bars.
Posted by: frt at January 22, 2004 05:54 PMfunny thing is...kate's isn't a bar...its a vegeterian restaurant...and its pretty good. so uninformed people shouldn't be allowed to comment on things they know nothing about
Posted by: girl at January 23, 2004 08:30 AMyes that would have been uninformed had i been referring to kate's. but the bar comment referred to welcome to the johnsons. it's not as funny if you read more carefully. i have been to kate's more times than i can count and it's definitely not the best restaurant in the LES (or EV) by any stretch of the imagination. not even top 20. and since you're being a pain, while being wrong, it's vegetarian. spelling please.

I'm sorry that my opinions are not directly in line with yours. As a vegetarian, I selected Kate's as my "go-to" because I go there quite often - I'm not calling it the best place on the LES. I am just unable to indulge in the Schiller's bar steak that my colleagues so frequently praise.
I'm also sorry my youth has you feeling crotchety. I'll have you know that I graduated high school SEVERAL months ago. I promise to see "A Stoop on Orchard St." twice a week until I feel more at your level.
